Take Two mission is simple: to help create better relationships, two minutes at a time.  They know first-hand the positive changes that occur in relationships when we take small moments to reflect on how, and why we love the way we do.

The greatest impact comes when this practice becomes a habit.

To help you on your journey, Take Two have lovingly curated inspiration from thinkers, writers and ordinary people around the world.

The Take Two App helps people in relationships to focus on the positive in themselves.  It delivers inspiration, tips and wisdom wrapped up in a gorgeous gift box and helps you to slow down with a 90 second breathing technique. Great relationships start with you – two minutes at a time.

What products/services do you offer?

A beautifully designed lifestyle App called Take Two – Two minutes to a better relationship.

Why did you start your business and how long have you been running it?

I started this business because I know that when my relationship is in a good place everything is good and when it’s not in a good place everything seems much worse than it is.

That’s because the most fundamental finding from Positive Psychology is that strong personal relationships have the greatest impact on your satisfaction with life.

The Take Two App was launched December 2017.

What struggles do you think most businesses face in your industry and what would you say they need to do to overcome them?

I think a lot of Apps struggle with Marketing and Positioning.

If the app is a quality product then the marketing is inbuilt because people who use the app spread the word.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?

My greatest accomplishment has been my relationship of 27 years and my two daughters aged 21 and 17.

My greatest fear is public speaking but I managed to get over myself and deliver a keynote to a group of women at an International Women’s Day event in 2019. I very proud of that and I even made the audience laugh and one woman stood up mid speech and applauded me!

What has been your biggest ‘fail’ so far?

My biggest fail would be believing my own BS limiting beliefs such as who am I to be doing this. The other big fail was not trusting my instincts when engaging help with the app. It cost me a lot of money.

What do you love most about your business?

I love the responses I get from everyone who uses the App. I love how they tell me Take Two makes them feel good. One woman told me she uses the app every evening with her husband when he comes home as a kind of ritual before dinner.

What do you find most challenging?

I find public speaking quite challenging.

How do you promote your business (please include as many details as you can)?

Word of mouth, Networking events, Emailing people in the relationship industry, Instagram, Facebook, Public speaking, reaching out to organisations such as Relationships Australia.

What business skills do you have (eg. graphic design, customer service)? App design, Graphic design, Creativity, Willingness to step out of my comfort zone, Open minded, Collaboration.

What software did you/your designer use to create your website (eg. WordPress, Wix)?

WordPress

What are some of your favourite business tools and apps?

Dropbox, Asana, Hubspot, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter.

What do you like about your website and what’s not working for you?

I like the simple clarity of the Take Two website. It could use a blog and some videos.

What lessons have you learnt during your time as an entrepreneur?

Trust your instincts. Your body doesn’t lie. What I focus on grows. Focus on what you love. Focus on your own health and well-being and everyone around you benefits.

What key tips for success in business would you like to share with others?

  • Trust and back yourself.
  • Be true to yourself.
  • People love stories…tell them yours.
  • If you believe in your product be patient.
  • Build something you’re proud of.
  • Think outside the box.

What is the one thing that you want everyone to take away from this post?

That they have more control than they think. Love what you do. Learn the lessons. Be positive. Say YES to life and life says YES to you.
